A few weeks ago, months now even (30 October – how time is flying) I went along to a pop up event just off of Oxford Street on South Molton Street. IZettle had invited six small businesses to come along and showcase their goods. Press were invited, and so was I, being the current intern at Prima magazine. Such fun!
I really like how we are living in a generation where small companies are given the chance to be seen and succeed. On the night that I was there, Bluebird Tea Co. from Brighton were showcasing their unique flavours from Rhubarb and Custard to a convincing Mojito . Tea was blended with rum and a whole lot of steam, served in a tea pot – of course.
It was such a nice and positive event to be part of and at the end of the night, I took away two great blends to try – Gingerbread Chai, and Morning Kick – simply made with lemon and ginger. Now it is December and getting close to Christmas, I am looking forward to making a proper chai latte. And next time I go to Brighton, I will definitely be popping into their store for more flavours.
Finally, just take a second to appreciate the descriptions on these packagings. Not only do I like the simplicity of the brown paper bags and the bright coloured labels – but read what they have to say. I’m all for appreciating a writers work!
